Care Catering in Scotland
Welcome to the Scottish region of the NACC.
Here in Scotland, we are an evolving group of like-minded hospitality professionals with similar goals of raising awareness around catering in care. Collectively we have a wealth of experience and knowledge that we share freely – That said, we are a curious bunch that are eager to perfect our craft. We cherish and encourage open discussions and welcome new ideas. This is the foundation we are imbedded in.

Andrew Stokes, Fife Council
Chair
I’ve dedicated the past 30 years to public service, starting my journey in local government right after leaving school at 16 through a youth apprenticeship with my local district council. My career began at the frontline of customer service, where I quickly advanced into my first managerial role at just 21. Since then, I’ve embraced a variety of leadership and management roles across local government, with experience spanning Housing, Business Development, Customer Service Operations, and Programme/Project Management. Most recently, I’ve served as Service Manager for a large-scale Facilities Management Service at Fife Council for the past three years.
In my current role, I oversee a diverse range of responsibilities, including the catering and cleaning operations for public residential care homes in Fife, as well as the Meals on Wheels service. My portfolio also extends to corporate buildings, business development, health & safety, training, and performance management. Our service supports over 2,000 staff across more than 2,500 positions, all dedicated to delivering vital, frontline services to the community. In particular, our Care Catering division employs over 200 staff across eight residential care homes, providing over 1,000 meals daily and delivering nearly 600 Meals on Wheels 363 days a year across Fife.
